Wildfire Victims Advocacy Committee
The Committee was formed on behalf of impacted individuals, i.e. the Wildfire Victims Advocacy Committee, in support of California fire victims and California homeowners in general.
We must address the dire state of the California FAIR Plan that left so many Californians chronically underinsured leading up to the devastating January 2025 wildfires before it is too late. We propose the depopulation of The FAIR Plan in order to combat the insurance crisis that Californians are currently facing to both protect California homeowners and provide a reasonable environment for insurance companies to be able to do business in the state.
The Committee objectives are as follows:
Advocate on behalf of individuals affected by the CA wildfires.
Committee activities will include meeting set up and fly-ins with key legislators and stakeholders, Hill Days in California and D.C. to ensure key players hear the committee’s testimonials, and campaign/event attendance when relevant.
Support for victims in navigating insurance and regulatory processes.
Additional issue areas identified by the committee.
